What is the difference between acid dyes and disperse dyes?

2022-05-23

What is the difference between acid dyes and disperse dyes? Let's get to know.

Acid dye properties:
Acid dyes are mostly water-soluble anions with strong water solubility. Acid dyes can also complete fiber dyeing at room temperature and have bright color.

Disperse dye properties:
Disperse dyes are mostly insoluble and non-ionic, and their water solubility is relatively poor. Moreover, disperse dyes must be dyed and fixed by high-temperature thermosetting, and it can't be done at low temperature.

How to distinguish acid dyes from disperse dyes?
In fact, it is very simple to distinguish between the two. You only need to put the acid dye and disperse dye into purified water, heat and dissolve them respectively, pour them into the syringe after dissolution, and use a 0.22um needle. If it can be extruded smoothly, it is the acid dye. If there is an obvious sense of blockage in the extrusion process, it is the disperse dye.
